The Lalu, set in the central region of Taiwan, overlooks a panoramic view of mystical Sun Moon Lake and is named after the indigenous Shao aboriginal settlement. The hotel was once the favorite summer getaway for President Chiang Kai Shek and dates back to 1901. Its recent renovations and additions by Kerry Hill Architects have resurrected the property to an new international level of high-end standards - a first for this part of the world.
